Pseudonymization

Pseudonymization is a data protection technique used to enhance privacy and security by replacing identifying information in a dataset with artificial identifiers or pseudonyms. Unlike anonymization, which irreversibly removes or obscures identifying information from a dataset, pseudonymisation allows data to be linked back to the original individual using additional information held separately.
